Youth Leadership Forum

The 2026 YLF registration is now open and can be found here!!

During the centennial year of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, we recognized the importance of creating a space where young people can come together and have meaningful conversations about the relevance and legacy of Black Wall Street and ethnic diversity in the United States and the power within Tulsa-area youth to advocate for change for themselves and their communities. Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) is the result of these conversations.

YLF is a FREE program in partnership with Greenwood Rising that seeks to create space for youth ages 14-18 to talk openly and honestly about community and work collaboratively to create change in those communities.

Techniques that have proven successful from Anytown aid our volunteers in creating a youth-led discussion space where students are able to safely and respectfully have conversations about their experiences with race and ethnicity. YLF takes place over three days with an optional follow-up action project that students may complete after the forum. Those who successfully complete their project receive a $200 stipend! Participants who attend all three days will receive a $50 QT card to cover the costs of travel to and from the program.

It is our goal that students will gain an increased knowledge of Tulsa's most tragic racial event, their own identities, and the ways in which their identities influence their interactions with others.

YLF 2026 will be offered to Tulsa-metro youth ages 14-18 at NO COST during October 2026*.

*The content of each session builds upon the content from prior sessions. Because of this, all days are required for full participation.
