Program Description

This leadership institute aims to develop Oklahoma professionals into inclusive leaders skilled with the knowledge and tools necessary to create inclusive workplaces and communities. This institute seeks applicants who are interested in becoming inclusive leaders and making a difference in the community and at work.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have at least two years of work experience in their current workplace or five years of previous professional work experience. 
  • Willing and able to self-reflect and work with others
Participation

In order to accomplish the program’s objectives, the full participation of each individual selected is expected.

Program dates for Tulsa cohort 

Tuesday, September 17: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Tuesday, October 15: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Tuesday, November 12: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. *

*Optional social hour following this session.

Program dates for Oklahoma City cohort

Wednesday, September 25: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Wednesday, October 23: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Wednesday, November 20: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.*

*Optional social hour following this session.  

Applications are due Wednesday, July 31, 2019. 

**Participants can miss up to half a day of a session and still be considered a graduate of the Inclusive Leadership Institute. If more than one half of a session is missed, participants can still attend, but will not receive the full benefits of the institute. Classes can be made-up by attending either the Oklahoma City or Tulsa trainings. In the event of an emergency, OCCJ office at (918) 583-1361 so accommodations can be made.

Application & Review Process

Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation with their application. Letters of recommendation may be written by a colleague, supervisor, co-worker, or mentor. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, July 31, 3019. Applicants will be notified of selections by August 15, 2019. 

Tuition and Payment
  • Tuition for each participant in the Inclusive Leadership Institute is $500.
  • Applicants may be sponsored by their employer or may sponsor themselves, with agreement from their employer.
  • Scholarships are available to cover up to 50% of the program fee for eligible participants. For more information on eligibility, refer to the ILI application, or contact Sarah Rana at srana@occjok.org. 
  • If you are accepted into the Inclusive Leadership Institute Class of 2019, you and/or your employer will be invoiced accordingly.
  • Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice
