OCCJ’s Inclusive Workplaces Initiative provides educational programs, professional development, training, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultation to enhance workplace cultures all across the state.  These programs are designed to maximize teamwork, productivity, employee retention, customer service, and service delivery.

The Inclusive Workplace Initiative provides executives and employees with opportunities to explore how they can help improve Oklahoma’s workplace culture and practices through intentional efforts to achieve respect and understanding for all.  Specific offerings include:


Through interactive and engaging workshops, OCCJ helps organizations recognize key concepts and a basic understanding of issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Trainings and workshops are tailored to the specific needs of your organization and provide unique opportunities for your team to discover strategies to create an inclusive workplace.


OCCJ can help grow the capacity of your current workforce through experiential workshops and trainings for leadership and staff personnel. By working with your employees and staff, the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice will assist in developing successful and inclusive leaders, which increases employee retention and enhances your organizational capacity.

Inclusive Leadership Institute

OCCJ’s Inclusive Leadership Institute (ILI) powered by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation consists of three workshops where professionals from various corporate, non-profit, government, and community organizations develop the knowledge and skills to create inclusive workplaces. ILI approaches diversity and leadership issues from a no-fault, interactive foundation with the goal of affecting positive change. The program explores the six characteristics of inclusive leadership as identified through research by Deloitte.


Our interactive process allows you to leverage the human potential in your organization by identifying ways to proactively engage employees and maintain a culturally competent and inclusive work environment. OCCJ staff can plan, develop, and support the implementation of initiatives to help lead your organization towards best practices surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our staff of trained professionals is available to facilitate critical meetings within your organization. Utilizing tactics to create a respectful and courageous space for diverse communication styles, we ensure that your meetings are framed to leverage the ideas and expertise of your entire team.


OCCJ has access to local and nationally trained speakers who are available to address a variety of topics with respect to diversity, equity and inclusion at your next special event. Topics include the value of diversity, recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce, and cross-cultural communication.

If your organization is facing a challenge related to diversity, equity and inclusion, OCCJ can help create an action plan to overcome the challenge using our expertise in DEI, cross-cultural communication and employee recruitment.
