Program Coordinator - Full-Time - Tulsa

Summary of Position – Work closely with staff and volunteers to ensure OCCJ programs are successful. Work in collaboration with Marketing and Communications Specialist, report directly to Director of Youth Programs.

Education, Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Previous nonprofit experience preferred

 

Job Responsibilities

Programming

  • Implement program related initiatives
  • Further develop planning committees, keeping them engaged and committed to program 
  • Assist in recruitment and orientation of volunteers 
  • Provide support for and manage programs and volunteers who plan programs
  • Identify community partners
  • Effectively deliver OCCJ programs to a variety of age groups and audiences
  • Market programs
  • Assist in recruiting/delivering Camp Anytown
  • Collect, evaluate and analyze program data

 

Fiscal Management 

  • Track spending for programs and report on total expenses

 

Planning

  • Collaborate with staff/board to continually pursue the OCCJ vision and mission
  • Represent OCCJ at community events, task forces, committees, etc. regarding civil rights, interfaith and other similar organizations

 

Internal and External Relationship Building

  • Create, sustain and strengthen relevance in the community as the primary organization in the state with the singular mission of achieving respect and understanding for all people through education, advocacy, and dialogue
  • Participate in efforts to build brand awareness and seek new partnerships while retaining longtime community partnerships
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with board, staff, volunteers and community
  • Ability to articulate mission with clarity and brevity
  • Utilize all effective and affordable avenues of communication, including, but not limited to print, broadcast, electronic, social media, earned media, speaking opportunities, etc.
  • Continue to build OCCJ presence as “go to” organization on difficult issues of relevance to our mission

 

Fundraising

  • Increase membership through program initiatives
  • Assist in a successful annual award dinner
  • Seek and track in-kind gifts related to programs
  • Share information to insure database is updated and accurate
